Blenheim Farm Vineyard
Located on the foothills of Carter Mountain in Southern Albermarle County, the Blenheim vineyard was planted with Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot in 1999. We planted Chardonnay clone 96, a Dijon clone, widely respected in the United States and Europe for its low yields and concentrated flavors. Our Cabernet Franc is a Bordeaux clone known for its excellent structure and perfumed aromas. The source of our Petit Verdot is more mysterious, but it has already shown tremendous promise by producing intense and powerful wines. The four acre vineyard in planted in Raburn clay loam and faces south-east at 750 feet.

The long-term health of our vineyard and the quality of the fruit it produces is of utmost importance to us. To that end, we try to take a sustainable approach to farming and have begun to explore Biodynamic farming practices in order to improve the health and longevity of the vineyard and to respect the environment that we live in.
